I had my gastric bypass on 11/8. I had major issues with the pain meds. Once I stopped then I felt so much better. My question is how do you know how much broth to eat? I'm able to tolerate sugar free popsicles. I am really missing regular food. Especially my saltine crackers. I used to eat like a pack of crackers a week.

I had one ounce every 15 minutes. It's more about staying hydrated during week 1 than overeating or oversipping. Give yourself a few more hours and the feeling should pass. It gets easier, I swear!

@@sjohn185 I had my bypass the same day that you did. I haven't had any hunger issues yet. I hope that it doesn't happen too soon. I can't drink too much at one time so I am basically just sipping.

I had mine on the 4th and I agree about the pain meds. I stopped then last night. I feel so much better. It seems we all on here have a ways to go but good for us in the steps we have taken.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
