1 month post op, face changing!

So I'm 'embracing the stall', but in the meantime I took this pic of me and my cat today. The image on the left side is me two weeks before surgery.

Happy to see my real face coming back! post-300674-14779768873758_thumb.jpg

That was the thing I cared about the most... Prior to losing the weight, I would walk past a mirror or other reflection and not realize I was looking at myself. People I knew well didn't recognize me at all. It was horrid. Thankfully, it was the first feature to return.

Thanks for your nice comments!

Despite the scale's recent stubbornness, it is nice to have other little rewards. My shirts are fitting MUCH looser, too.

(My pant size hasn't changed too much...this girl's got HIPS ;) ).

@@LisaMergs, I agree with your post so much. The fat around my face was always what I hated the most. I felt like my identity was lost. I hated mirrors. So nice that the first thing to go is my face fat! I smile more now, already!

Congratulations!! I so get what you are saying. We took my new profile picture before we went out on Saturday evening. I felt like I looked like "myself" for the first time in a long, long time.

Keep up your great work!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
