So I am 8 days post op and tomorrow I go to get my staples out and I cant wait! I feel like its just one more step getting me back to normal. I started my Vitamins today and ehh they are awful. i ended up grinding it up and putting it in my 2 tbsp of yogurt I had for dinner worked so much better than eating it by itself. I got the Bariatric Choice all in one multi its amazing I have to eat it 4 times a day but thats all i have to take it covers everything.Ive been craving mashed sweet potatoes (like the thanksgiving kind with brown sugar and marshmallows) so bad i may make some tomorrow. Anyhoo just wanted to share..I hope everyone has a wonderful night!

Crazy that they used staples instead of sutures or glue strips.

Also...don't make what you're craving. That's kind of exactly the opposite of what you should be doing. Go ahead and ask your surgeon if they think it's a good idea to eat a bunch of sugar now. I mean, unless you're just eager to get your first case of dumping syndrome, and don't plan to change your habits and behaviors post-surgery, and just see how it goes. :)

I had staples as well. My incisions were glued and then had staples over them anyway. Getting them out is awesome!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
