PMS / eating more than normal ...

Recommended Posts

SO I know that with the old me ... I would eat like a horse during PMS ... and for about 9 months after surgery ... PMS didn't affect me like that ...

but now ... 16 months out ... I get the "munchies" really bad during PMS ... I know in my head it wont last ... so I don't stress too bad ... I'll gain 2 or 3 lbs ... but then after my period is over ... it drops back off ...

I've tried to drink more Water and walk more ( knees dictate my physical activity level ) ... but the urge to munch is still there ...

ugh.

any suggestions?

thanks ladies !

My hormones keep going nuts from losing so much weight. I can always tell when they are out of whack because that is when I crave chocolate and I hate chocolate.< /p>

What I do is...

I get the Robert Irvine Fit Crunch Protein bars, I keep those around. The calorie count on them is kind of high but like 1/8-1/4 of of one is enough for cravings.

Oh Yeah Bars

Halo Top Ice Cream

And I get the sugar free Chocolate from Trader Joes or the Lily's Stevia sweetened chocolate when I am feeling fancy.

I try to just make sure I have good options around instead of like trying to just tell myself to chug Water or something. The good options work for me and I don't over do it.

Those cravings though are balancing out some since my hormones have improved since my WL has slowed a little.

@OutsideMatchInside - Thank you for those tips!

Odd thing is ... I don't even crave sugary things anymore ... for me now ... it's all about the crunch ... so things like peanuts and Popchips are my main "gotta haves" .... so strange ...

I do keep Protein bars on hand ... and even an extra Protein shake I've tried ... that seems to curb the crunch cravings a bit ...

Thank God it's only a few days a month!!!!

:)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
