To Wait Until Later or To Do Surgery Now?

I have lost over 100 pds approx five times in my life. Always gained it back until the lapband. Lost 130 pds for eight years until complications necessitated its removal. I gained back 60 pds. Now with the RNY weight is coming off again. It's almost impossible to keep it off for good w/o wls

Also insurance coverage is getting harder and harder to approve

I would seize the opportunity. Best of luck in your decision.

@icyblufrz88. Take a lesson from President Eisenhower in the 1950's. He said make the best decision you can from the facts you have and don't waiver

It seems you already have made the decision as the rest of us had. Good luck in your decision

I agree with everything said. I am 61 and on average have been on a diet every 3 years from the age of 20 (though had given up at about age 50). I was at goal (around 125) probably at least 5 times. I always regained and each time added more weight. This time I knew I had to do something different: I needed to have an additional tool. Overall this has been the best decision I ever made because not only have I lost the weight but am eating very differently and I am in great health (had high blood pressure, sleep apnea, high cholesterol and was pre-diabetic prior to surgery). And I have built-in portion control!

No more diets to die with, just new and better habits to live with. And a firm belief I can achieve them. I trust me as I have, not, been able to trust others!😝❤😝

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
