Had my surgery on August 22nd in Tijuana with Dr. Maytorena. Lost almost 20 lbs the first two weeks. Today is September 25th, and I haven't lost a POUND in like three weeks (since Sept. 5th). I can understand a one to two week stall, but three now?? And it doesn't seem like its going to be changing this upcoming fourth week either?? Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong or what my diet should be right now or what theirs looked like at this point because I'm starting to get so frustrated. I feel like even if I wasn't completely following the plan, I should've still lost at least a point or two over the course of three weeks. Also, is losing weight going to be this hard for the entire first year? (I was told the first year is the most important). So frustrated!

Try not to stress over it. Don't weigh. The pounds will come off but not magically. Keep busy, exercise when and as much as you can, follow your surgeons plan and don't be tempted to go to other foods. This is so worth it!

it takes a bit for your body to recover from surgery, you also are not as heavy as most of us, so don't compare or you will go nuts. hydrate, eat your Protein, keep moving...patience.

So basically, same goes for me!! I had my sleeve done June 10. My start weight was 220... I lost ten pounds during the pre-op diet,so my weight on surgery day was 210. Today my weight is 181????.so I have only lost 29 pounds in 3 1/2 months.i do everything right. I'm not gonna give up,but I just thought it would be more.

I believe the lower the weight, the less the loss. I am struggling, back on shakes.

To Km779942009- That's almost 10 pounds a month! That's fabulous!

My doctor told me to not just weigh myself, but it always measure myself. You may be getting smaller, but gaining more muscle so your weight isn't changing.

@@kcolley12345 You are a much lower BMI than most of us - and the weight loss will be slower. You lost more than 10% of your weight in the first month (regardless that was all in the first week) - that's a great loss! Are you meeting your Protein and Fluid goals? If so - just stay strong and keep doing what you're doing - the weight will come off. You have to keep in mind though that you are at the weight most of us have as our goal weight - so you're not going to drop weight like someone who has 100+ lbs to lose.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
