Finally, I have hit onederland! I was in between 203-206 for about a month. How frustrating! Anyhow, I have been swimming a little bit 4 times a week. While this is supposed to be good, I rarely seem to get my heartrate up. So, I am going to starting walking a mile before I swim to see if this helps. I would love to be 175 by xmas. However, that might be stretching it so I would settle for 185.

Timeline:

185 by Xmas

175 by Valentine's Day

165 by Spring Break

155 by End of School

145 by My Bday, June 27

135 by Bandiversary Aug. 7

Does this look feasible? realistic?

Since I don't have to worry about shopping much -- I have many bins of clothes saved from my last great weightloss in 2002 and shouldn't need much of anything until I'm well below 250, I've picked travel as my reward!

My first goal is to hit 275. DH and I will take off for a weekend in San Antonio when I hit 275.

After that, we'll pick a destination and start planning for the next trip -- when I hit 250.

So, my goal is to make it to SA before Halloween!

Okay..I didn't make THAT goal by Halloween, but I DID reach it by Thanksgiving Day! And we're going to East Texas to see some friends and relatives instead of San Antonio -- just trying to figure out if we can squeeze it in before Christmas or wait until after.

My next goal is 250 by Valentine's Day. It'll be a stretch, but I'm determined!

Okay, we're close in age and our past and present numbers are real similar, but I'm guessing by your goal weight you must be taller than me.

Funny -- when I look at your numbers I think "You're doing great!" but I'm so hard on MYSELF!!! Isn't it just DUMB how we talk down to our OWNselves?

Hi,

Our exercise thread has really helped motivate me, and I am sure that this thread will do the same -- so here goes.....

My short-term goal is to lose fifteen pounds by Christmas. I set that goal a few days ago and have since lost two pounds.

Thirteen pounds in slightly less than four weeks is a bit of a push, but I believe I can do this.

Good luck to everyone trying to reach their short-term goals, and congratulations to those who have already done so :clap2::clap2::clap2:!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
