30 hours post op

I had my procedure yesterday morning. I'm still very uncomfortable, especially with the gas working its way out of my system, and I have a lot of indigestion. Still learning how much Water I can swallow at once.

Anyone have any novel advice for feeling better faster?

Hey Ryan! I'm 5 days post op. The uncomfortable feeling doesn't change until at least two days after. On day 3 and 4 you start to feel so much better. Today I feel 80% back to normal. I do get this super painful tightening feeling whenever I am standing up from a sitting position. The sipping of the liquids is going to be your best bet to move the gas. Also, walking around a lot. No matter how uncomfortable it is. With the IV you should be wanting to pee a lot anyway lol. Have you gone to do your xray yet? My doctor ordered an X-ray the next day to make sure there was no obstruction or leaking. Right after that is when I was cleared for all liquids!! It will get better I promise. I am 14 pounds lighter since Friday!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
