because it is almost the weekend - that seems to be when I have control issues. If I make it 'til Monday I'll be okay.

I'm staying on plan today because I am finally in ketosis!! The carb cravings are gone and I want to keep them that way!!
...because I need to get back into Ketosis!! My cravings are through the roof!!

I've done low carbing in the past and remember how well it worked. Only problem, I always gave up too soon (as with any diet). How long does it take for your body to be in ketosis? Where do you get the strips to check for it? And, how long did it take you to lose those awful carb cravings?

And, one last question - how many carbs are you allowed per day? It's been so long since I've put an honest effort into low carbing, I just don't remember!

I'm staying on plan today because I only have 10 more pounds to lose to reach my required 10% before I can see the surgeon!

I buy ketostix at Walmart. It takes me 48 to 72 hours to get in ketosis. Once in ketosis the carb cravings for me go away, but if you eat sugary carbs, watch out, the cravings come back with a vengence. I stay under 30 carb/day. If you look at the nutrition forum, there is a subforum called low carb bandsters.

The thread has been pretty slow. I have posted a few times, but not much going on there. Post to it and I will start posting again. Let's see if we can't revive it. There are a lot of low carbers out there!!

I am staying on plan because I am so encouraged by my loss to date and more than one person has started to notice....................

Hey - how come you have to lose 50+ before someone says "hey....are you losing weight??" .......................duh...............

I have so far to go, and it won't happen unless I do.

I had 2 marshmallows last night.

I have an Oct 31 goal and the end of the month is fast approaching.

I was a very bad girl yesterday...We went to the fair - 'nuff said. It all tasted wonderful - back to being a good bandster today. Don't want to permanently fall off the wagon - pittstops here and there keep me sane!

It's Monday.

I am staying on plan today and everyday until I have lost this last stubborn 15 lbs so I can then just concentrate on maintaining my goal weight. I am on the right path and will stay there for as long as it takes.
