on the weekends coffee is a treat, a dessert, so not always,

on work days? coffee is how I am able to use my grown up manners. I start my work day with a 20 ounce cup with a combo of fairlife milk and half and half and stevia. I'm not much use until I get at least half of it in my. notamorningperson.

Dr's attitudes on coffee are sooooo different. My doesn't allow caffeine. When I went to the support group on Thursday, I asked the NUT why. She said there is risk for ulcers so they don't allow it. Thank God I was able to successfully eliminate caffeine from my diet. It hasn't been easy as I still want it but I'll survive.

I used to be a big coffee (ice coffee) freak, but I've limited to less then an 8oz cup of hot w/dash of cream & sugar. I don't use sugar substitute because I just can't deal with any of there test :-(

On an occasion I might grab a small ice coffee on the weekends, but not often because I like my ice a lot sweeter.

I probably have 5 cups of coffee per day, usually made with Land o' Lakes fat-free Creamer (IMO opinion easily the best fat-free creamer) and Splenda.

I am just now allowed caffeine again at 8 wk post op. I can't really tolerate too much not stomach issue but gave me a bit of headache maybe. My nut is fine as long as tolerated and she said it can help "things move through system" in moderation. So that is a bonus! But have been off it for over 2 months which I would have though impossible.

I drink 2 large cups of brewed coffee, then later on I switch to Decaf. So about 4-6 cups all up.

I weaned myself of Equal, as it was creating sugar cravings for me and messing with my blood sugar levels.

I use Stevia now, and add milk to my coffees.

It is easy for me now. I can now guzzle Water, drink large quantities of liquids, close to 6 months post op.

Earlier on I wasn't able to, now I can.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
