Backslider starting over

Recommended Posts

Well it has been 5 years since I got my band. I lost 116 lbs and was so happy. Then my spine started giving me issues. I was told because I lost so much weight my spine twisted. They told me not to run anymore and to gain some weight back. I followed their directions and gained 15 lbs then 20 lbs but the pain was still there. I got depressed and gained another 20 lbs. So over all I gained back 55lbs. I did however keep 61 lbs off.

I am back on a mission to lose the weight again and deal with the pain. Either way I'm in pain so I might as well be happy and healthy. :0)

So if anyone would like to give me tips on how to start back over I would appreciate it.

My best friend just had the gastric sleeve done today. I told her I would go through the post op diet with her. I figure I would work on shrinking my stomach back down. Then work back into the program.

Regain here with different underpinnings. After a hiatus of about two years, I saw my NP about a month ago, had a small adjustment because my band was showing signs of life. I have a follow-up appt set for Wednesday. If you have not been in yourself for a time, it would be smart. An esophagram is probably the thing so that you know if your band is in proper position with no dilation and all that. As I see it, staying connected is a part of the program when restarting. I also hope to return to support groups.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
