For those who had surgery in Mexico...

Recommended Posts

I went by myself. The doctor's office staff took great care of me, I was never scared, and over all it was a lot easier not having to worry about someone else while I was there. They took me back to the airport and I went home. Quick and easy.

My mother went with me, but I was originally going to go alone. Many people were there alone, and they had GREAT support from all staff.

I took my little sister with me but I saw many women who were there all by themselves. If I had to, I could put a bra on all by myself but I had my sister help me and carry my bag for me. It is doable by yourself from my point of view.

I went by myself. I didn't want to have to worry about someone else's boredom on top of my own healing. You meet other women/men having these procedures too so you won't be bored and usually the staff in Mexico are beyond amazing.

I went with my husband, but it would have been doable alone. The staff is very accommodating and helpful.

I went by myself and honestly glad I did. The staff will take wonderful care of you and you don't have to worry about the comfort or boredom of a guest.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
