Another NSV for me! Wearing a dress!

  • Popular Post

A dress I was able to find in their clearance section in a size 12! I was so excited!! Shopping has been so awkward actually looking in the "standard size" sections and grabbing a size too big instead of too small. It's taking my brain some time to adjust to look for a large or even a medium sometimes instead of 2XL. post-257611-14704373843926_thumb.jpg

I'm 48 and worried that will affect my progress

I'm 48 as well and don't think that'll impact anything other than maybe my skin won't bounce back like a 20 year olds. There's alot of people older who are extremely successful - in fact - I bet it helps to be older in some aspects.

I hope so. Skin will definitely be different than the youngsters. I guess my worry is our metabolism compared to a younger persons metabolism.

@@lizardqueen I am 50 and I was sleeved a month ago. I've lost 24 lbs so far. Things have been going great for me. Do I wish I had done it sooner? Sure, but not because I think it would have been easier to lose then, but more because I could have enjoyed more time being thin and really living my life!

Best time's of my life have been in my 40's. The weight loss is a bonus ;)

Great video! Very inspiring. I need to see these as although I'm pretty heavy (about what you were and your height - but NOT your slender legs ever I'm sure!) - I am still scared of the surgery. I struggle with the humiliation. I know it's better for me to get my weight in control, but I still need to know more about life after surgery I guess. Good for you - you look amazing :-)

So I thought I would update this thread. It's crazy that I'm wearing the same dress. I thought I looked great in the 1st photo. But this journey continues to amaze me! 28lbs less than when I first posted this.

Total loss 94lbs at 10 1/2 months hoping to reach 100lbs by 3/16/17 my 1 year!

How tall are you? You look amazing. I get my sleeve in a day and a half and I'm about 20 pounds down from your start weight, but also shorter. My basic figure looks exactly like yours in your before picture.

Hoping to lose about 90 pounds total, and look like you do in your latest pic! I also have a busty/curvy shape and I don't want to lose that!!

See FayBee, I feel the same way about getting back down to my Dr goal weight for me. Of course he thinks I should get back down to my size 5 for my height, 5'7, but I wanna stay at a 8-10. I'm 52, and I wanna keep some of my curves. At size 5, I was straight up and down...lol. I'm at 3months now and I'm down 102lbs, so in my head I only have 30lbs to go before my goal. I go back in April. Today he said I was way over 45% already and was very proud. But now, I don't know how to slow the progress up or is there such a thing.
