Every loses at a different pace. As long as you are sticking to your plan, you have nothing to fear. You are ahead of me at the two month mark. I was only at about 23 pounds down in my first two months and I still managed to lose all my weight and have been maintaining under goal for almost a year.

I'm so glad I found this post! I'm at exactly 2 months since surgery today and I've lost 22 pounds. Although I'm really happy about that- I feel like I should be losing more too. Especially since I feel like I don't eat much... I think I need to walk more- I feel much better but I was hoping for more weight loss. It seems to be about 2 pounds a week at first and now I've stalled for the past 2 weeks.

@@alohagirl22 You started at a lower weight than many of us - so your loss will be slower (% will be very similar though). You can't compare yourself to others! Also - make sure to get enough Protein and fluids every day! Eating less will not help you lose faster - your body will go into starvation mode and hang on to the weight. However - 22 lbs in 2 months is excellent for someone starting at your weight. Stay strong!

I'm 5'1 and my SW (day of surgery) was 206.2. I'm 7 weeks post op and have lost 27.8lbs. Total with 2 week pre op is 41.2. My doctor said between 20-30lbs for the first two months is great! :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
