There's a lot of negativity on this board. C'mon girls, you can do better than this. Stop whining and start looking for ways to improve instead of feeling sorry for yourselves. Think of the positives this op will bring. Things take a little bit of time but you really need to start with a positive mental attitude.

If you constantly think "Woe is me, I'm tired/hungry/sad/miserable/feel sick/etc...." then you are just reinforcing all the negatives. Try thinking, Ok, I feel a bit lethargic/tired but I'm going to get through this and then I'll feel proud I got through and ready for the next obstacle and there will be more obstacles for which you need to build a mental resistance - make everything a personal challenge to overcome.

Sometimes expectations of the sleeve are too high; some of us think the sleeve is a magic wand that will take away all our weight worries - it really isn't, it's an aid, you've got to dig deep and make the rest happen and It's a lot harder to find that inner strength when you are solely concentrating on all the downsides.

So my message to the moaners and groaners - Have a word with yourself and get on with it.

I'm doing good. Trying to maintain the 60-80 grams of Protein and drink 2-3 litres of Water.

Still no junk food, bread or pasta! Yay! So proud of myself.

Weight is coming off slow. I'm not weighting in, just seeing by my clothes.

Trying to work out every two or 3 days. Will probably join a gym next month!

Can't wait till I'm 5 months post-op :)

Well done.

Why five months post-op; what happens then? I'm five months on Monday, do I get a medal or something? ;)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
