It's been almost 3 weeks since my sleeve and I can't drop any more weight. I dropped 8lbs in the first week and not an ounce more. I'm following my plan like prescribed. I talked to my nutritionist yesterday and she said some people's bodies go into a starvation mode and makes it difficult to lose weight in the beginning. I'm beginning to give up hope and wonder if I did the wrong thing.

Hang in there. I know where you're coming from - you went through a lot and you're anxious to see results. Results can be uneven though. Try to be patient, and in my experience you don't need to be 100% rigid in your habits if that is making things difficult - small excursions from optimal diet or exercise are easily absorbed, so long as you're doing the right thing the vast majority of the time. What you don't want to do is to stop weighing yourself or to give up.

Happened to me. Hit a plateau hard. Then the loss started again just like before. Expect some weird behavior from your body as it adapts. Don't worry! It's just a temporary thing! Focus on rest, hydration, nutrition, and walking. ????

Hang in there!! Remember your body just got its butt whipped and is in shock. Just follow the plan laid out by your med team, and the losing will come.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
