Having a hard time today

Recommended Posts

I am about 9 weeks post op I have lost 36 lbs but today is so hard because I find I am an emotional eater and going through some relationship problems today has made me crave with a passion junk food ????

I have tried a Protein shake and healthy choices but it is very short lived before I'm thinking of chips or Cookies again.

You are not alone. I'm 7 weeks post op and an emotional eater. I just went to bed so I don't have to do damage control tomorrow. I'm watching TV and drinking my Water. It is better when I stay away from the main part of the house when I feel this way. I got on here for some encouragement and Walla there you are! Ty. Can you do something to get your mind off of the food? I took a walk but it didn't help much, so that is why I went to my room away from temptation.

Sorry to hear about your day. Some days just suck, don't they?

Have you tried getting out of the house? Go for a walk. Anything to distract yourself from the "demon food".

How about a Protein shake smoothie?: one scoop of Protein powder, a portion of frozen fruit, a zero calorie liquid and three ice cubes. It's yummy and good for you.

Groom the dog.

Anything to distract yourself.

Keep posting and let us know how you're going. We really do care.

Prayers going up for you, Friend.

Keep your hands busy: read a book, color, paint, crochet, knit, clean the house.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
