Gastric Sleeve gas pain vs Gallbladder Gas pain

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if the gas pain is similar to gallbladder surgery. I had my gallbladder out and the gas pain sucked but it was tolerable. I did not take any gas x strips or anything. Is sleeve surgery similar?

@@Sarellen5 I haven't had surgery yet but some have said it was less painful that gallbladder surgery. The thing that helps the most is walking, moving around, and maybe a heating pad. Some say gas-x help - but I'm doubtful - the gas is in your abdominal cavity - gas x won't do anything to help that. I was in so much pain BEFORE my gallbladder surgery that the gas pain after didn't even register with me.

I remember the walking did help but feeling it in my shoulder. I had my gall bladder out in Florida when I arrived to visit my husbands parents on vacation. I was in so much pain when I was on the plane and that night, The doctor told me I would feel great after the surgery that I could eat anything I want. I was surprised how bad I felt. I was actually mad at the doctor because he really played everything down! Not looking forward to the pain but preparing myself.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
