I got my sleeve on 6/02/16 I'm 4days out I was wondering if the pain I feel when I get up and sit down is normal . The pain feels like everything is pulling on my right side and that's the side they pulled the stomache out. I'm new to this so don't know if that is normal pain ?

Yep. Normal. Walking and simethicone should help the gas pain.

Very normal. I had pain when I would sit and then stand up or bending over for about 2 weeks after surgery. Dr said it was very normal. Then one day I woke up and it was gone!!

I had my op 30/5/16, i have the exact same pain, cant sleep on my side, first night at home i tried to get out of bed on my own and nearly passed out from the pain. Am too scared to cough or heaven forbid, sneeze! Called my surgeon and yes its the side where they pull the stomach out of and the incision is a little larger and therefore there is internal stitching. Am 1 week post op and its getting better each day, slowly but surely. Take it easy.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
