Hi.. I'm scheduled for surg 6/28. I have been watching a lot of you tube videos & reading a ton about what to expect. I watched a few videos in which people say that the are always cold since surgery. Is this true? If so, any idea why? I'm constantly sweating as I am 150 lbs overweight & I'm curios if there is any truth to this.

I do not suffer from the coldness so much but many do. (I am almost 1 year post-op and down 120 pounds since surgery / 145 pounds in all). BUT I was just saying earlier this week on another post how nice it is not to sweat all the time anymore! I seriously didn't realize how bad it was until I don't have the problem now. So great....

I'm 2.5 weeks post op and I was shocked when I kept finding myself cold. Before I seemed to always be hot and with little effort I broke out into sweats. I had terrible night sweats too and that hasn't happened at all. What a nice side effect.

I'm a super sweaty person, but since losing the weight I only sweat like a pig during a really hard workout. I used to sweat CONSTANTLY before!

And yes, now I'm always cold ;)

I would sweat walking from my car to the house or getting dressed for work even after I showered. Now that I am 2 months post op, I sweat very little and that makes me happy.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
