I never had bad acne but I'm a week and a half post op and I look like I'm 15 again. Acne on chin, neck forehead. It's terrible!

Anyone else have this problem and if so, does it go away? I've read some get acne because of the change in hormones and losing fat cells.

Toothpaste put on overnight works wonders on pimples/acne... Being in the 40's I had a bad bout of hormonal acne, toothpaste worked better than all the various prescription cream the dermatologist gave me... Good luck

My skin changed to break out conditions and if I squeeze them it takes months to heal. I've never had skin condition prior to surgery. I am 10 months out. I take the skin nails and hair tabs so now I wonder if that is the problem.

As your fat cells break apart, they not only release the fat stored in the cells but also the chemicals and hormones that were in storage. Therefore some individuals experience a flush of hormones after surgery. These chemicals and hormones are flushed through your kidneys and expelled in your urine. So it is important to drink plenty of fluids and it you drink Water use filtered Water instead of tap water to reduce the chemical load.

This problem should disappear once you level out at the bottom of your weight loss journey.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
