At what point did you tell?

Next month, will make 1 year post-op! I can't believe I made it this far. I'm one of the most stubborn people I know and to actually believe that I changed my eating habits, exercise habits, and even went along with the surgery amazes me! I remember laying on the operating table before my surgeon came in, I kept saying to myself... "Any minute, I'm gonna get up and get the f*** outta here!" Then they turned the anesthesia on and I could no longer escape :D

Anyway... It took me a while to tell anyone. The only people that know are my sister, brother, mom - of course, two best friends, and 1 cousin. I have a huge family so to not tell them my secret is a big thing.

I met my boyfriend November 2015. 5 months after my surgery. We've now been together since Feb and are serious. I just don't know how to tell him I was sleeved. He has no problem with bigger women. One of his exes was even larger than my highest so I don't know why I'm so embarrassed to tell him I got the sleeve. He's seen my weight loss and is proud of me but what if he's not as proud when he figures out I had surgery to help me?

I just don't know how to do it. When did you guys tell your significant others?

I've attached a before and after below btw :)

Others will disagree but you need to tell him! It'll always be on your mind and he'll find out by accident and wonder why you never told him! If he's as serious about you - I can't imagine he will give a damn how you got healthy!

Honesty is always best. He should still be proud of you. You DID do this on your own. The sleeve is a tool, but the decision to lose weight, to be your best self, to be healthy, to commit to new lifestyle changes--that's all you. Be proud. Be open, because it helps you and others to know that the sleeve is a helpful tool, but everything is is YOU. Congrats on losing. You look terrific.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
