I'm 29.. So I'm unsure if I fall into the young category anymore (*throws plate at the wall*) but I'm having my surgery on Thursday next week and I've never been more ready. Forget what family and friends say it's how you feel and what you want. It's your life, do not let anyone tell you how to live it! Good luck, you've got this!

29? You definitely fall into the young sleevers category.

I'm 31 but chiming in to say that several of the doctors I've met throughout the process have praised me for getting this done "at a young age" so good on all of you for taking this on in your 20s! I feel great regret about spending my 20s as an obese woman...missed out on a lot.

I'm 19! I'm having bypass in 3 days and I can't wait. I am sick and tired of being to overweight to do things that other people my age do. I want to be able to walk up a flight of stairs with out needing to stop at the top for a break to catch my breath. I am young, but I want to be healthy sooner rather than later.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
