I got sleeved on May 2nd. Just wondering if anyone has obvious scars from the incisions.

Mine are healing and were glued shut. No stitches. They are stating to peel away from my skin.

Anything I should do after to prevent scars? Lotions creams?

My Dr told me Vitamin E. I only have one you can really see. I am using bio oil on my stomach now, but I used vitamin e and scar away strips for the first 3 months and they faded and flattened.

I had my incisions glued as well. I did nothing to try to prevent scars and I have to tell you I have absolutely zero visible scars. My dermatologist had to get out her lighted magnifying glass and search for them. And I'm someone who tends to scar easily and noticeably, I even have some keloid scars! I think gluing the incisions really helped.

If you want to do something to help with scarring, silicone scar sheets are what my dermatologist said are the only things worth spending money on.

My scars don't show at all, really. I suppose if you looked closely, you might see them. But they healed right up and have faded very well. I'm 18 months post op. I'm pale as a ghost, so I think that helps my scars blend in a little, lol!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
