We are going to Vegas January 18-19-20 2008!

Here’s the scoop.

You get your own flight. Arrive as early as you’d like and stay as late as you wish. This is our agenda:

We are staying at Treasure Island (TI) www.treasureisland.com. You can stay there or the hotel of your choice, but the group has decided to stay there. We don’t have a block of rooms so there’s no need to ask about that. Make your own reservations.

• We are having a hors d'oeuvre reception with a cash bar at TI on Friday night.
  
• Saturday during the day you are on your own. Gamble, shop, sight see, hang out with your new LBT friends, go on a bike ride, there’s plenty to do.
  
• Saturday night we are going to see Mystere (Just a note, tickets don’t go on sale for the 1-19-08 until September 19, 2007.) www.treasureisland.com/mystere/mystere.aspx?CMP=KNC-Google-TI_Mystere
  
• Sunday we are going to do a Hoover Dam/Ethel M Tour www.lasvegasgrandcanyontour.com/bus/deluxe-hoover-dam-bus-tour.htm

Friday night’s reception needs a head count, so please if you are going to come let me know by way of email or PM here on LBT. Include your guests too. That is going to cost either $20-25 per person. We’ll need to know by December 1st just how many people we are expecting. As for paying, I’m not sure if you’ll pay at the door or if we’ll make arrangements before hand. That’s yet to be determined. Really we need to have a good idea about how many of us will attend so we can make those decisions.

Terri - Offended might be too strong a word. I have been to Vegas a couple of times and have had a great time there. Just hadn't been to T.I. before. I'm sure it will be GREAT and am hoping I can get there.

One thing's for sure, Ghost, you can't go to Las Vegas without seeing a lot of skin everywhere!!! Even our room key had a naked lady on it (back view). There are vans that drive around town with ads to 'bring the ladies to you'...i think it's got a bedroom in the back! LOL Taxi's are carrying some ad that have 5 ladies bent over wearing thongs. Lovely. Nope...I don't recommend going to Vegas if you're easily offended.

..and dont pick up the cards/flyers/magazines that the people on the street are handing out. :embarassed:

This is more than a bump. It's getting closer and we really need to try to wrap our heads and hands around this.

Who is still on board?

i was just talking w/ DH about this last week. we are about an 85% yes. only issue we really have is child care and i'm too chicken to ask my parents...

My DH is slowly coming around but he's a big "waffler" His siblings call him Mr Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda. He has NO interest in coming which suits me fine, I want to SHOP, SHOP, SHOP (and DANCE) neither of which he likes. But he is interested in going on a short road trip with one of his brothers. So he has been toying with "letting" me go in a kind of quid pro quo.

I know I can go if I really want no matter what he says but some battles really aren't worth fighting if you know what I mean.

I understand about battles. I would love to have you join us. (hubby too!). You're such a LBT celebrity with the TT and all, getting you to be part of the party would be such a coup.

I am still down to go. Are we all planing to stay at the same place or are we going to just meet up somewhere?

I am definitely down for going along with my husband...I am so excited......can hardly wait to meet other LBT and put some faces with some names. I look forward to seeing everyone in Vegas.

You can stay where you like but the "group" who ever or how ever large it may be is satying at Treasure Island. I know there are cheaper places to stay, but it's what we decided awhile ago.

no child care available ... looks like i may be going solo ...

LJM - Just thought I'd pipe in here and say that Circus Circus DOES do child care - or at least they did a couple of years ago when my cousin and her family went! Its a bit further down the strip from TI, but not too bad!!

I don't know if I'll be able to go with ya'll!!! I want to! I think my June '07 group is planning a march/april trip out there.

Funny how we all get skinny and plan a weekend in Sin City! Lol!

I made reservations today for January 18th -21st at Treasure Island.

LAdies, whoever does go I hope you all have a blast. Sadly (well not too sadly) I will be having our annual girls weekend for Tip Up Town with some of my girlfriends. Definitely cheaper than Vegas and way drunker. But I will be thinking of you guys having fun and I will be a bit jealous since I have never been to Vegas before.

I cant wait for you guys to get here, Im taking vacation days to hang out and just have a blast with you!!
