Help? How do you know your full?

Recommended Posts

After your surgery it will take time to learn the knew signs of when to stop eating. It took me a long time to learn the signs. I threw up a lot because I over ate.

For me, there are two signs. The first sign is when I first feel the restriction kicking in. This is often very subtle in feeling. I normally stop then and there and feel fully satiated. However, I can eat past that point. The next sign is not subtle. It is very obvious that I am stuffed and I feel uncomfortable. I know that if I even take one more bite I will likely throw up. I also begin to slime at that point.

In time you will get used to it and just automatically stop at the first sign of restriction.

I literally feel full and satisfied.. Was a learning process to pinpoint the exact feeling for me though. But I am a pro at it now :)

Thank you!! I'm thinking I just have to figure my new tummy out too☺

I haven't thrown up yet..(except when I drank coffee one morning and tea after- never again!)... Thank you for your feedback, its comforting knowing that I'm not the only one whos going or has been thru this..and that it does take time..????

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
