Does anyone know of a facility (preferably near Eugene) that takes OHG (Oregon health plan, which is a form of Medicaid)

Call your insurance company. They will tell you who you can use.

Hi! I live in Bend and I have OHP. We have 2 clinics here. One in Redmond--Dr. Hughes. The one in Bend is Dr. Archer. They both operate at St Charles which is a center of excellence.

There is also a Dr in Coos Bay-- Bay bariatrics. His name is Dr. Tersigni. I just submitted yesterday to ohp and received my approval today!!! My surgery is scheduled for 6/14. I could have gone next Tuesday if I wanted! But I just couldn't swing it on my end. I started this process on 12/29

I was accepted into the program at Dr Archer's in November. We submitted to insurance on Wednesday. I was approved for surgery less that 24 hours later. So happy!!

Nope, I don't. In November ohp lifted that requirement. However, now you must have it to get surgery I believe.

Question, I'm in bend with PacificSource/Medicaid/OHP trying to get more information for Bariatric Surgery. I have a BMI of 49.9 but Co-Morbities are Hypertension and I test for sleep Apnea in February. They said you have to have Diabetes to get the surgery. Is there a place that disputes this or will explain this more? The website doesn't discuss it.

I think you have to have diabetes now in order to have ohp cover it. I got incredibly lucky last year when I was approved because I didn't have any co-morbitities other than a bmi of 43.

This is what I've been wondering. Any places close to Ashland, that cover it, with Medicaid OHP?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
