Does your stomach growl?

Recommended Posts

I am revising from band to bypass on 13th...

Sitting here hungry on a liquid diet and wondering, after bypass does your stomach still growl when you are hungry? This maybe a stupid question... But just wondering...

With my band I would eat, the food would be in my pouch but the bottom half of stomach is screaming "feeed meeee now!"

Sometimes. Maybe more just general noises than growling. Sometimes it alerts me that I haven't had enough to drink and drinking will quelch it. Sometimes it is acid reflux so be sure to take a PPI if it is prescribed.

No never. When you have your surgery you will have a lot of noises coming from inside but it won't be growling. The noises I hear now are in my intestines either liquid or solids; I guess because stomach contents gets there so fast now.

I'm still new (only 1 1/2 month out) and I have YET to feel an iota of hunger sensations! It blows my mind every day! My stomach makes crazy noises sometimes (likely gas) but it's not growling.

I'm 11 months out now and my new plumbing does make noise but it's settled down a lot in the last 6 months or so. It will make noise occasionally now but typically it's when I need more liquid/water.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
