I am making all of my appointments to meet the criteria for my insurance company. My surgeon just told me to see the specialists and thats it. And of course to let them know that I will be having WLS . Its not medical clearance just a consult and if they feel you need any testing done then you will have to do that testing. For those of you that have already completed this , does the specialist give you a consult form filled out for your ins company ?? I'm starting to feel overwhelmed .

Oh...I did everything at the same hospital so the surgeon office had all my records. No one gave me any forms. But I guess if you go to different places you can just ask for your medical records and give to surgeon office so they can send with the rest of your paperwork to insurance company.

They didn't give me forms. But my surgeon's office coordinator gave me a "script" and phone numbers for the specialists so I could set up the appointments. The specialists are all part of the same bigger health care group so my surgeon's office has all their records too and in addition to the testing results, I know at least the cardiologist wrote something up and put it in the file. The only thing I did outside the main practice was the sleep study because there was too long a lead time for getting the study done at the clinic within the health care group. So I'm taking the results of the study I had done recently at another clinic to my follow up appointment with the pulmonologist.

Try asking your surgeon's office if they can recommend specialists they have worked with in the past or even ask other patients of your surgeon if you have an opportunity.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
