Anthem BCBS IL

Recommended Posts

In a few weeks to a month my surgeon's office will begin submitting insurance paperwork. Curious if anyone has experience with Anthem in IL and anything I should be aware of?

My PCP and therapist think it will be fairly painless due to my high BMI (currently around 70) and co-morbidities (hypertension, sleep apnea, and pre-diabetes). But after scouring through the forum, it rarely seems all that simple.

I too am hoping it will be simple. I have the same insurance. It is through my husband work. my family and my husband all seem to think it will go through with no problems and my doc did say that usually if they approve visits with him it usually goes through. I did check my insurance before I saw the doc to make sure I had bariatric benefits. the only thing I worry about is that it wont be at a blue distinction center. the insurance representative that I talked to said that the employer opted out of that rule so as long as I go somewhere in network it should be covered. I only hope it goes that easy

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
