Had my first appointment yesterday. It was a great experience...long, but great. One of the funniest things happened while I was there. This young lady was already seated in the room and started talking a mile a minute. She was so excited. When the gastro nurse came in - we all started hearing loud snores. My friend woke her up, and then the surgeon came in. She was laid back in her chair, shirt all up - sawing logs. The surgeon was irritated and I got so tickled I couldn't speak or breath for laughing with tears running down my face. (I must say she wasn't sleeping due to a medical condition.)

Overall - I love my surgeon. I don't have to have any other tests. I scheduled my psych eval, start a 90 supervised diet Tuesday, and now it's a waiting game.

The surgeon concurred with the sleeve; however, said it was because I was young (28) and have had a trainer for a year and a half. He said I should bounce back fast. I'm looking forward to a new me. Next summer will be the best one ever. I'm sure others can empathize with staying away from the beach or pools because of weight. I have never been thin. This time next year, I will be the thinnest and healthiest if my adult life.

Yea I should be close to the first of August. Thankfully I only have to do the 90 day physician supervised diet and we can go to insurance. My dr said I was an "easy" patient.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
