I am going to be banded on Sept 5th. DH just told me he might not be able to get off from work to go with me! Nuts!

I am traveling from Florida to Colorado. Would it be realistic to think I could go by myself? Would I have problems driving myself back to the airport when leaving several days after surgery??

Anyone have experience doing this on their own?

Thanks!

Jenn :)

You could always call a cab.

I am a single female and and am going to be doing the surgery all by myself. I am getting a ride to the hospital and home in a cab. My doctor said it is ok. I just cant drive.

That's always a possibility but I think I need to look into a car service. I think the airport is a little far from the hospital. To and from the surgery center is probably not a big deal.

I need to remind myself that I went to NYC on my own and I can do this if I have to because it is for me!! I'm not used to putting myself first... working on that!

Hi I traveled from Indiana to Mexico and back alone. No problems except getting stranded at Atlanta airport overnight and half the next day coming home. Met a lot of nice people while stranded and did ok. Rest of the trip was uneventful. I do not think you will have any problem. Donna Good Luck !!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
