Lived in a bathing suit on vacay and loved it

Recommended Posts

Hubby and I went to the Caribbean last week for a week. I spent most of the week in a bathing suit and loose shorts that I had not fit into in years. I cannot tell you how totally awesome it was to just feel so at ease in my body and not worry about feeling fat. Oh, and I also lost 2 lbs! On vacation! And I didn't feel like I missed out on anything. We went out to eat at least once a day, and I had pizza for the first time since surgery. Of course, it took three meals for me to eat one personal pizza whereas hubby wolfed his down the first night at the restaurant. LOL!

My kids are 2 and 5. My 5-year-old has begged to go to the beach since he could talk. It's upsetting to say the only reason I haven't taken him is because I'm too embarrassed to be in a swimsuit. I am scheduled for RNY on 4/25 and already have our first beach trip scheduled as a surprise for his birthday the last week of September. It's a great incentive and I'm so excited to take a trip like this as a healthier me (one who feels way more confident!)

This was SO me. My son is 5 and we've always lived no more than 10 mins from the beaches here. It's amazing to be comftorable taking him now and knowing I can keep up! And comftorable rocking a swim suit!

My fear preop more so than being in a bathing suit was just whether or not I'd be quick enough to jump up and get to him if a wave knocked him down, ect. Now at 145lbs down we are always at the beach!

Congrats and good luck with your journey!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
