Never crushed pills. I stopped taking chewable vitamins and switch back to the vitamins I took pre-surgery about 2 months ago.

Never crushed pills. I was allowed to swallow small pills immediately and larger whole pills at 7 days post-op.

Same here. No pill crushing.

I never crushed pills either. The hospital had me taking pills day 1 post op.

@Phillygirl_in_DE I crushed mine for the 1st 6 weeks ... They actually worked better crushed!

I was advised to do that because the liquid form of the medication was 3 times the cost and hard to find ... and the actual pill itself was a horse pill ... if you know what I mean ...

I didn't mind crushing .... I'd mix the power in a Nyquil cup with a little bit of Water and stir with a drink stirrer and down the hatch ...

Only part was carrying all those things with me all the time ...

9 month out now ... that time seems so long ago ...

Nope, no pill crushing, ever. I am cutting my Calcium pills in half.

I never crushed any of my pills

1 week is all I could handle. The dr said I should crush them for 1 month but the taste was unbearable.

I crushed my pills for about 6 months. I take a lot of pills 3 times a day. I wasn't told to crush them for 6 months. That was my choice. Most of my pills are prescription pills so I can't get them in chewable form. I would crush them & put the powder in juice & stir it up & swallow!!

I am so happy! I am one week out and my husband just went in OR for his sleeve.. yes we will have His and Hers sleeves...lol.. our surgeons asked me how I was..told him about the pill crushing jazz...He said we are just starting to tell people this week to not worry about crushing them... he said take them all whole and if it's large like the ursodial break it in half and take it morning and night....so so happy!!! ;)

It's amazing how everyone is told something a little different! I was told to crush for the first month if they weren't chewable. Good thing I never really needed my pain meds. Crushing an Oxycodone in applesauce just once was enough to make me gag!! Luckily, my daily thyroid pill doesn't have any taste when crushed. I'm 4 weeks out today so tomorrow - I'm swallowing pills!! LOL
