It went really well shrinking limber! I was pretty nervous for a bit. Even had some hives on my chest lol. I have a 7 day liquid diet but am allowed up to 4 Protein Drinks a day. I can still have a cup of coffee so no one will die around me lol???? Where are you at this point?

I just finished up all of my pre op requirements. I am on an immune system suppressing medication so I have to be off of it for 8 weeks before I can have surgery so it looks like I'll be sleeved on June 9. :) it's funny you mentioned nerves and hives. On my wedding day I was covered in hives from being nervous! Lol

Oh my! Are you able to be off it that long without problems? Did they tell you why?

Congratulations on your June date! I wanted to be sleeved but found out I can't due to acids ????

I'm a dead give away when it comes to my moods! A blotchy chest every time I'm mad, nervous or upset! Glad there's someone else out there like me????

I actually only take it every 8 weeks so it should be fine! They are afraid if I have surgery sooner than 8 weeks after it will cause complications with healing.

Thanks! :) I'm in Virginia, but my surgery will be in Tennessee. I live right on the border between the two states.

Oh that's neat. Are you excited???

I am SO excited. This is something I have thought about, prayed about and researched since September of 2014. I was originally planning to be self pay but I received an unexpected promotion last year and along with it came amazing health insurance. I won't have to pay a dime out of pocket for this surgery. It's an amazing blessing. My family is so supportive and my two kids are excited to "see mommy skinny". Lol

How about you? You're so close! Excited?

Wow congratulations! That's super exciting news! That's huge! I'm so happy for you. Your family is going to love watching your transformation! So nice they're are on board with you. My family also. I have a husband 2 kids and my mom all know. They are all supporting me. My daughter says I should just go to the guy since I don't have a whole lot to lose but she doesn't understand how hard it is to stay away and not eat a whole sleeve or girlscout cookies! I'm 193 right now so I'm lucky I'm not as heavy as some people but I'm only 5' and my bones are brittle from all the lower weight I carry from my hips down. A lot of strain. Right now my foot is fractured cause of my weight. I wanted the sleeve. It can't have it so RNY it is

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
