Looking for April peeps for RNY (Bypass)

Recommended Posts

Hey all you April peeps how would you like to become Facebook friends where we could message each other and get to know each other better. I don't discuss this directly on fb tho. But messenger is a nice fast way to chat. Anyone interested?

I think that's a great idea! You can have a closed group so no one outside the group can see what you are posting.

I just had my second post-op visit with the doc yesterday. Everything is looking good. I'm a week and a half out from surgery and get to start mushies, i.e. mashed potatoes, hummus, Greek yogurt, etc. I feel really good. From the two-week liver shrink diet to now, I've lost 21 lbs.

That's great! Good for you! I bet you feel better just knowing you can start trying some new things.

I wasn't planning on making a new fb for this. Just thought making new friends and adding to current fb account. I actually have a private group for Pittsburgh people. We can do messenger if you'd like. Up to you????

I'm 1 week out as of today. Had gastric bypass on 4/14. Down 11.5 lbs since day of surgery, 21.5 lbs since 4/4. So thankful to finally be losing!!

I'm 5'7"

Highest weight: 299

Preop weight before LS diet: 270

Surgery day weight 260

Current weight: 248.5

Goal weight: 135-140

Anybody name their pouch? Looking for a good one for mine. Toying with a few names but none are just screaming at me. The ones I'm toying with are Polly Pocket, Penelope Pouch, Penny, or Joey (like the baby kangaroo).

Congrats to your great loss! That's exciting! I haven't thought of a name for mine yet. I'm waiting to see how it behaves itself! Lol.

I have 5 days then it's my turn RNY for me!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
