First Welcome! Maybe you could try focusing on the things you will be able to do instead of what you are giving up. Your mind can be an ally but sometimes it is a distraction. I made a list of all the things I was looking forward to doing (running with my husband) or or not doing (needing a seat belt extender on airplanes) Ended up with over 20 things. I read it whenever I got discouraged and most of the time it helped.

Thank you for that, I went to my first support meeting tonight. It was encouraging to actually see people and sit and listen. Most of my questions were answered and I know I can do this. With this forum and the actual support group, I know I can do this. The good totally out weight the bad.

I have discovered powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken Soup Protein powder and it is so nice to have a hot Protein Drink, it is only 100 calories but tastes like a nice bowl of comforting chicken Soup. I have that when I feel cravings or longings for some comfort food.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
