Recommended Posts

I had just starting eating Soft foods today and I was wondering if you can have fruit with that?

I was allowed fruits on soft foods as long as they were soft enough to be cut easily with a fork, and they fit into my daily carb limits. So the reality was I rarely ate fruits other than blending a small amount of berries into my Protein Shake or occasionally eating a few ripe strawberries. fruit was just too high carb for my menu.

fruit is one of the things I don't eat hardly at all any more. Just can't take the high sugar.

Be careful tho, as it could cause a sugar dumping episode (sick/throwing up and shaking). Look for lower carb (low sugar) fruits like strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe. And eat VERY little of them until you see how you feel after.

I've had a banana, s/f applesauce, strawberries, s/f pears and peaches.

I haven't had any issues

The strawberries and banana was blended in a shake.

I avoided them due to the sugar content.

banana make me CRAZY Full fast... so be careful.

I had luck early on with melons - honeydew and cantaloupe. But my early time was season for them. Another one that works for me is grapes. I had to watch the skins but the big ones in half and chew good...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
