Feb 23 is the day!

Recommended Posts

So I've been scheduled for my bypass here in Orlando on Feb 23. I'm a little nervous, as its all so real now. I just started my 3 week recommended liquid or stage 2 diet, which will be on through my surgery. Any tips?

Congratulations!! No advice here but tons of support. Did you change a lot of your daily drinking and eating habits before you started your presurgery diet? Good luck and keep us updated about your diet, I kinda worried about doing it.

Thanks. Yeah, I did change a few habits. I cut out soda and limited my portions. I'm on day 2 of my presurgury diet, and I'm doing ok. I just have to get the thoughts of a good meal out of my head for now, lol.

So today's the day, and I can't sleep a wink. I'm not sure if I'm nervous, afraid, or excited. A little of each, I guess. I so don't know what to expect, and that both excites me and scares me shitless. I'm so dang hungry, and all I had yesterday was some Water and...well more Water. I had to work yesterday, and I didn't really get a chance to eat the way I'm supposed to. I know...(slaps own wrist) but I was really busy, as I was preparing to be out of the office for 3 weeks.

I won't make this much longer, but thank you all for the support, and I'll catch up with you all afterwards!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
