Dont feel like I got the surgery

Recommended Posts

It's been 2 weeks since I got the surgery and I don't feel like I got it? I don't get full with Water and my diet consists of that and yogurt and I don't even drink the yogurt because I'm not a fan. So I can drink water all day and it's like I never even got surgery. I'm scared that the surgery failed. Like if for some reason they didn't do it right and I still have a large stomach.

You will never ever feel full with liquids. They run right through your sleeve with no restriction. Just wait till you get on solid food. In the meantime be grateful you can get in all your fluids easily. Some people can't and struggle with dehydration. Make sure you are getting all your Protein, too.

Two weeks out I ate sugar free Popsicles, broth or sipped on juice from chicken noodle Soup, & sugar free Jello. For drinks I used crystal light for flavoring. I didn't feel the fullness must either but the more you begin to add to your diet you'll be able to tell, believe me. It'll stop you dead in your tracks, lol

I felt like that at first too. Then one day it hit me and I could finish small stuff. It was a relief. Milk sometimes will fill me up, if you can tolerate it. Hang in there!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
