Just a little funny that's not so funny :)

All day today, I was not able to keep down any liquids at all. I would take the smallest sip and I could feel it just sitting there. I was almost panicking and getting ready to call the doctor. As I was standing in the bathroom at work, looking in the mirror, I noticed my clothes were a little disheveled, so I began to straighten them up...you know...in case I had to go to ER. Well.....I adjusted my sexy VS front clasp bra and felt immediate relief. I could fill the Water going down. Apparently, my bra was hindering my ability to digest liquids today. LOL It would have been nice to discovered this early this morning instead of spending all day planning my bypass apocalypse.

Well, I'm a man, I believe in seeing things to believe them. So perhaps a photo of the problem would be helpful! Many men are very visual in this way, especially when it involves the words sexy and bra and I don't remember anything else you posted!

By the way, this is and was intended to be funny and from a man's perspective so i hope you take it as such!

Would have never thought about that being an issue ????!! I'm a heavy chested girl, and I have a few of those front clasp "items". I'm going to really think about that the daylong and after surgery this month. Thanks for the heads-up.

Thanks for the chuckle, that was great!

I can relate, front or back clasp, bras now pose yet another way to cause discomfort post surgery. Instead of unbuttoning pants for post-meal discomfort I have had to unhook my bra a time or two.

After my surgery I couldn't wear a bra unless it was loose fitting the pressure was unbearable I had lap band done then gastric bypass cause I had issues with the band.

Oh no! That must have such a relief for you!

I am so hoping to be able to wear VS again, or even Juicy Couture anything for the first time in my life.

Thanks for the story- it's something to keep in mind because I would have panicked too. My surgery is Feb 16, so I use all the help now!

Retizpa, I'm sure you wouldn't be able to tell much from photos of this problem. The best way to get the full "picture" would be to go to VS yourself, get a front clasp bra in YOUR size, and then try to re-create the problem. I'm sure that if you just explain to the sales lady that you're just trying to conduct a medical experiment that she'll give it her all to make sure that your bra is a good fit. :P

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
