I had my surgery on January 13, and feeling pretty good except for the glue reaction. I live in the northeast and we are having a Blizzard right now. My husband and the kids went to shovel. I felt bad so I went out to wipe the cars off, I felt bad that I wasn't out there too. After a little while I started feeling g a tighten felling in the large incision area. Is that something I should be concerned about?

Assuming they know you just had surgery, you should have been turned around and marched right back in the house. Your job is to make hot chocolate and put fresh socks on high heat in the dryer so that they can warm up their toes quickly when they come back inside. A few years ago, I blew out a knee when shoveling heavy snow. Be careful, and take this nice warm hug from Chicago.

I agree. You don't need to be stretching or engaging your abdominal muscles too strenuously and you certainly don't need to be falling on the ice.

Walking around inside is ok, the rest will have to wait.

Stay safe and warm.

Is it oozing? Hot to the touch? If not then just sit down. You likely did too much and your body let you know.

I would say, "you better or I'm coming to get you" but it's a long snowy walk from Chicago.

I behaved I didn't go back out, I feel so uncomfortable right now very sore. I haven't felt this way since last Saturday, then I was just a couple of days out.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
