So I am eating my first mush food today. I had refried Beans (black beans), low fat shredded cheese and a little guacamole. My stomach feels like it is constricting when the food hits it? Is this normal. I am not feeling nauseous or anything (maybe a little gassy) so I stopped and took a few bites of my cottage cheese. Same thing. I also had a hernia fixed when I got the sleeve.

I did get a Greek yogurt down this morning and a few bites of scrambled egg (it ended up being too dry for me)

Anyone else have the constricting pain when first eating?

I did. Except I would describe it more like spasms. I did call my doctor's office and I was told it was part of the healing process and if it was unbearable to head to the hospital. Mind you, I had the spasms from day 1 so even drinking Water and Protein shakes triggered it.

It went away in 2/3 weeks. Good luck.

Yes I do get it when drinking the Water and the shakes also, but not as bad as with the food. Awesome! Thanks

I had something similar except it happened sometimes even when I wasn't eating. I had a prescription for Levsin post op which helped with spasms.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
