Any November Bandsters

Recommended Posts

Hi I got my band November 10/15. Best decision I ever made wish I had done it years ago. I thought I had the

chewing down pat but not good enough. I learned that peas don't go down well unless you chew then chew more.

I noticed that I am not hungry in the night. Which is a bonus. And I fill up on very little food.

I had my first fill Jan 2/16. I did not notice any change yet.

Would love to hear from other November Bandsters.

Hi. I got my band on November 9th. I feel it was the best decision I made also. So far I've had two fills. My appetite has been suppressed tremendously. The problems I face are eating slow and chewing my food. Years of eating one way...I know it will take time to recondition my brain. Good luck with your journey!

I had a second fill and it was to much. It took a few hours after the fill and could not get even a tsp of Water down. I could not get some taken out till the next afternoon. Now I think I will be good for a while.

Yes it is really hard to retrain the brain to eat slower and chew chew chew. I find I am not hungry if I start the day out will powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Protein but if I miss it I feel hungry all day. Good luck and thanks for the reply

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
