Greetings all. I agree that the fun has gone. However, I am 5 months our and I have found that when I do crave junk food (fries, coke, burger, pizza), I allow myself 2-3 bites and I am satisfied. More importantly for me though, the food makes me feel sluggish and bloated afterwards, so it makes me think twice before doing it again.

That is a great solution. It follows kind of what the dr.said too. They said to quit worrying so much, that it will get better as time goes on.

There is no fun in food anymore. I don't enjoy it. most everything makes me sick. I'm only 2 1/2 months out. I hear it does get better but at this point I only eat not to die

Why should food be fun? Is brushing your teeth fun? Is taking a shower fun? (I'm not talking about the kind you take with someone else!)

food can take a backseat in your life, as you find more and more things you can do at your new size!

I think eating now feels like sex without an orgasm. It gets the job done but there isn't much satisfaction afterwards.

I'm getting tired of the limited liquid diet, I'm looking forward to eating what I want again.

On that note, my niece had this proceeder done 2 years ago. As soon as she was able to eat she stretched out her pouch and never reached her goal. I'm not sure why she had it done.

I'm planning on eating foods to keep my at a healthy weight.

I agree. And my head hunger has been powerful lately. My stomach is satisfied but my head isn't.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
