Started Orange Theory can't sleep now

Recommended Posts

So I have hit my long stall with 20 pounds left to goal. I have been overall good with Protein and Water. I started my first Orange Theory class today (intense 1 hour cross fit training) and now I can't sleep!!!!!

I have been doing some research and there seems to be a science to eating before and after workouts (especially carbs) but I feel like I have been so anti-carbs for the last 8 months, wrapping my head around eating carbs is hard. I also don't want to get discouraged from working out but this girl has GOT TO SLEEP!

Anyone have suggestions?

Congratulations on the weight loss and for attempting such an intense exercise class. From everything I have learned, you will need to increase your carbs, Protein and even fluids to keep up with your exercise intensity. This would be a great question for your NUT. A bariatric NUT should have more insight then a general trainer or NUT at the gym.

The Protein shakes that so many of us drink are said to be great for before/after a workout. Don't drink anything with caffeine and caffeine can hide where you wouldn't expect it. The fitness people say to no workout before bedtime. At least 4 hours before bedtime.

Good luck and keep us posted!

I love OTF but I have my membership suspended until I can begin working out again. What time is the class you are attending? I discovered if I attend a morning class I had energy throughout the day and slept well but an early evening class kept me awake at night. I can't wait to turn Orange????????????

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
