Body Shapes and Changes.

Recommended Posts

Hi there! I'm still pre-op (January 4th is my rebirth ????), but I was curious as to how things may even out later on down the road (I know all bodies are different, we will lose at different rates, yada yada yada).

I've never been "little," but I know that I have an apple shape...or maybe an upside down triangle? (big boobs, no hips, little butt, 5'3")

Anyone with similar body type post op? Where did you lose weight first? Last? Difficult areas? So many questions!

I've always carried my weight the same as you do (i.e., high). I'm losing from the top down.

@@obxmermaid, you'd look really funny with no head or feet! ;)

My boobs have always been the last to go, but I'm sure they will eventually. I'll probably look like that droopy old biddy in those old Playboy cartoons.

I started as a very big apple. I like to call my build "athletic" which means robust shoulders/ribcage and skinny butt and quite thin calves. Downside is if I get slimmer than my current weight, I continue to lose it on the lower body.

Apple here. Still have most of my weight in the middle but everything's smaller. Not at goal. Hope to get panni surgery after reaching goal.

I always carried my weight proportionately around my middle with thinner legs. Since surgery, my top has thinned out and I am now more bowling pin shape! ???????? I'm only a month out so I know it will change more, but I never pictured my once ample heavage(it was beyond cleavage) disappearing seemingly overnight. Your body will probably change shapes several times as you go through your metamorphosis, but try not to get too hung up because this is just temp. After we get done chiseling the new us out of the fat, we could be anything!

I've heard that you will lose weight first where you last gained it. The weightloss just goes in reverse order. Don't know if it is entirely true but I've lost 60 lbs so far and it seems to be true in my case.

I seriously gained my weight proportionately, all over. I had fat hands, arms, feet, legs, I even joke that I had a fat roll on the back of my head.

I started losing it in my hands, feet and head first. Then pretty much everywhere. I noticed my face, shoulders and collar bones poking out first. I am now 10 lbs from an ideal weight for my height, 1 lb and I will no longer be overweight.

I have no rear at all, my boobs have deflated. I still hold a lot of skin/fat in my upper arms, thighs and of course my stomach. Most of this is loose skin but there is still fat in there.

I now have a rectangle shape, sort of boy like, in clothes in look fantastic after I use my Victoria's Secret bra that bumps you up two sizes.

Out of clothes, I swear I look like a sharpei dog.

I see a plastic surgeon on the 30th to discuss an overall plan but we already talked about moving forward now with a brachioplasty as my upper arms really really bother me most of all right now.

I always thought when woman lose weight every one will be an hour glass shape. After being an apple. I was surprised to find an athletic V shape under all my weight. Who knew..... You can see it in my before and after pictures. I have no hips or butt.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
