Welp, the monthly support forum has not been updated for 2016. I know there's a thread somewhere for December & January sleevers, but thought I'd include you January peeps in honor of the upcoming year. Share your dates, doctor/nut/psych visits, tests, hopes, and whatever else you want to share pertaining to your surgery. Feel free to offer encouragement and cheerleading as warranted. Maybe everyone can link up with some sleeve buddies!

I'll start. I have 100 to 130 pounds to lose (no goal set yet). My sleeve was supposed to be in January. Instead, my husband needs to go out of the country on business in the middle of the month and can't guarantee he'll be back, so I'll probably be sleeved in February. It's frustrating to me because my insurance requires 6 months supervised diet. I finished that the week before Thanksgiving (U.S.) I'm scheduled to attend the final "class" they require all patients to take on Dec. 17. My endoscopy is Jan. 13. I could easily have made it in December, but hubby didn't want me restricted over the Holidays. (I had thyroid surgery with complications last year just before Christmas, so I understand how he feels.) Still, you can imagine my frustration now that my surgery needs to be pushed back again!

I complete my 6 months passed my psych eval and testing with flying colors. Meeting with the surgeon on the 11th of Jan and then they want yet another psych visit with a Dr in their company *eyeroll*. Praying for early Feb!

Surgery the 12th. Started my liquid pre-op diet today. My husband is a champ, he's doing the liquid diet with me! ❤️

Reading this thread has me so excited!! I have an appt tomorrow with the hematologist because my iron was low and this could delay my surgery... Praying it dosent!! I have done all my WM apts seen the nutritionist ,psychiatrist and seen my surgeon the pre/post diet class is this week for me also!! All I'm waiting for is the approval from the insurance and the ???????????????? from the hematologist!! Wish me luck!!! Aiming for the end of this month or early February!! ????????

I'm done with everything I go see my surgeon nd the rest of the team Monday January 4th then I have my surgery on January 13th I've told my family but they don't believe me so I'm in it by myself bcuz it seems like my fiancee isn't backing me up on anything anymore so I'm in it to win it for myself by myself I just pray that I don't have no fall backs good luck everyone

Did anyone have to lose weight before surgery ? I had to see a nut. But never was told to lose weight. I had lost 19lbs but I have a feeling I gained some back during the holidays.

Hey JLyn....thank u for ur support I willwill b praying for u nd with u I just left from seeing the surgeon nd his team so I'm all set for next Wednesday the 13th again thank u much

I didn't have to. And I haven't. Maybe a pound or two. I'm finding the nut diet very difficult. I actually do and feel better when I do things like replace a meal with a slim fast shake. It's a huge no no though. So I put what they want and do my own thing. I know that if I went to Mexico I wouldn't have to jump through these hoops so since I eat healthy and balanced I am only concerned that they will keep dragging it out. In a lot of ways I know that it hasn't been an unreasonable amount of time. I see the surgeon next Tuesday and then another psych on Thursday. (Total of 12 hours driving with a 6 yo and a baby) I passed the required psych test and eval so I don't know what this one is about. Ugh
