Tips for endurance training/muscle building?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am getting the bypass on 12/28. Once I am healed and get cleared to workout again, is there any tips on having enough to workout? Like I play competitive B Ball for hours at a time on Fridays, is there anything to help me as far as energy?

Will it be harder to lift weights?

Any suggestions?

I found I had a ton of energy less than a week after surgery. It did calm a little about 2 months post op. I have read that as we burn up the fat in our bodies so quickly at first because of the liquid pre and post op diets, the Testosterone stored in that fat gets released and we suddenly have an abundance of it. Makes you feel like your 15 again. I'd give anything to get that back. I still have plenty of energy but that kind of vigor from the first month is a whole other level. I make sure I take in enough Protein. If you are not too active, the 60-80g protein range that most plans call for is fine, but once I started working out 3-4 times a week, I upped it to 100-110g protein.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
