Botox treatment in nyc

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am thinking of Botox treatment being in my 50s. I have talked to few doctors like. Kenneth from Francis NY Plastic Surgery but want some personal suggestion?

Dr has explained me everything very well but a bit confused. How much time it takes to recover, and one more thing anyone has experience with Dr. Francis?

Which part of the body are you interested in having the treatment done to? I have two friends that have had it and were very satisfied. Unfortunately it only last a few months if that so the expense is recurring. That said it is far cheaper now than it was 15 yrs ago. Can't say my friends took any time to recover though they reported mild discomfort for 24 hrs. One had it done in NJ and one in VA so I have heard nothing about Dr Francis.

I have it done every few months and the recovery time is super minimal. You shouldn't work out or lay down for a few hours afterwards as the botox can travel. Also, the first time you have it done you can get a headache. Avoid taking any Alleve or Asprin a week ahead of time to reduce the bleeding and bruising.

I have a little bit of bruising at the injection site but that's because I have a bleeding disorder that causes excessive bruising. Just remember, less is better, you can always go back and have more added. You won't see the results right away; a week to two for the first time and a few times for subsequent times. Next to my RNY, getting the Botox is the best thing I've done for myself.

And yes, I can still move my face and have expressions, I do less then 10 units in my forehead and about 10 units around my eyes for the crowsfeet.

I'm a 64 year old male, and I go back every 6-7 months...I have injections for my forehead, and fillers for my "Marionette" cheeks.

I also go for regular facial traetments, microdermabrasion.

Add to that regular workouts at the gym, plus being at an optimal weight...very low body fat %....

I meet with new patients everyday, and yes, image and first impressions are important

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
